The intersection of mindfulness and Christian faith is a topic relevant for church groups (such as Sunday School classes or small groups), Bible studies, classrooms, and community groups. Presentations can be modified to fit the time frame, goals, and style of your particular group; most engagements include both information-sharing and guided practice. Zoom and other videoconferencing platform are available for communication - and when not under COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders, in-person presentations are also an option!
Groups interested in a more in-depth experience with mindful Christianity are encouraged to consider a four-week workshop series titled Christian Mindfulness: Being Present to God. Grounded in Biblical theology, mindfulness theory, and clinical psychology, the workshop series provides practical mindfulness experience that will equip participants to more effectively manage unpleasant emotions and fully engage with the life God has provided. The workshop is created to be down-to-earth in tone, engaging both the hearts and minds of participants - a great gift to people looking for mental health tools that can be applied within their journey of Christian discipleship. No prior mindfulness experience is necessary. The Mindful Christian book is recommended (but not required) for participants as a workshop accompaniment.
Workshop sessions are one-hour each, following the following format:
